Pushing Spring
Awaiting the arrival of Spring with the anticipation of new growth. I never grow tired of Spring. This single cone of an evergreen is as refreshing as a forest.
This image was shot near my home in the North Georgia mountains near Ellijay Georgia.
Lilly Triad
Time has three phases — past, present and future. The nature of the human being consists of three distinct levels — body, mind and soul. Thought, word and deed complete the sum of human capability.
This image was digitally painted from a photo I shot in my front yard. I am a watercolorist and choosing this style of digital painting allows me to move into more creative directions than just using natural brushes and pigments. The composition of the flowers keep the eye moving about the image for a very pleasing visual experience.
Leaf Bones
I found this leaf while hiking. It was on the ground next to some sprouted seedlings. I carefully placed it in a notebook that I carry on my shoots. The entire body of the leaf had been eaten away by insects or rotted away. I saw the life cycle thing in my head and knew I had to record this. Back in my studio, I scanned the leaf and digitally painted this image.
After school
This is a print from one of my original watercolors.
I was attending an art show in Southern Georgia and these children were just out of school and taking in the sights at the show. I was able to get a few shots before they moved on.
Downstream
I shot this at sunrise one morning behind my home on the Cartecay River in Ellijay, GA. I'm an early riser and I went out on the deck to have my coffee and the light was just right. I ran for my camera and caught the shot just before the mist lifted.
Mountain Morning
I live in Ellijay... located in the beautiful North Georgia mountains. I'm very lucky to be living my dream here on the Cartecay River. This image was shot early morning from my back deck.

Just setting up shop
It will take me a few days to get my ducks in a row, but I'm looking forward to showing off my stuff.
